Swedish Professional Football Leagues (Svensk Elitfotboll) has published “A Football Pitch in the Middle of the Village”, a report that investigates the role of Swedish clubs and their positive influence on the local community.
The study, which you can find here in Swedish, was carried on by Sweden’s leading Economist, Ingvar Nilsson and reviews IF Elfsborg’s, IFK Gothenburg’s, Hammarby Football’s and Malmö FF’s sustainability work in detail to find out the real social effects of elite football.
