“Playing for Success” impact report [Dutch]
NAC Breda cooperated with the research agency Sport2B to investigate the impact of the “Playing for Success” programme. All in all, the study rates the programme as successful.
Playing for Success is a community programme developed for young students interested in studying in a fun environment and those, who need some extra motivation for successfully performing at school. The enthusiastic environment of the stadium and the personal attention for the participants, as well as the involvement of players and technical staff, ensure that learning is fun again.
40-70 percent of the participants indicate that they can collaborate better at school and have more confidence in their options after completing the programme. The parents of former participants of Playing for Success also have a positive opinion about the participation of their child in the project. According to the teachers of schools from which the participants are originally, the project is so successful because the selected ‘under performers’ have the privilege to gain experience in an exclusive and popular environment.
