Football Fans In Training
FFIT is a world renowned health intervention programme, focussing on weight management through lifestyle change. In the workshop we will discuss the process of becoming a FFIT provider and the proven benefits to both participant and clubs. The training and support provided by the SPFL Trust and a case study of experiences of an external FFIT partner club.
Nicky Reid has worked in professional football for almost 10 years. Her experience includes sales and marketing at a club level plus club community programme delivery across a range of delivery areas including lone parents, disengaged youths and ex-offenders. She was also instrumental on the creation of Falkirk Football Community Foundation, one of the earliest charities set up at a professional Scottish club. Their employability programmes were award winning and Nicky trained Chelsea FC, Everton FC, Sunderland FC and Portsmouth FC before they embarked on their Premier League into Work programmes. In 2013 she joined the SPFL Trust and took over as General Manager in the spring of 2015.
