“Anti-tobacco booklet” provided by Healthy Stadia
Tobacco has no place in sport as it is the world’s leading killer, causing five million deaths each year. As tobacco use also impairs physical performance, there are undeniable health and moral reasons for workplaces and public places to be safe and free from harm caused by tobacco use and secondhand smoke.
Sports clubs and organisations have everything to gain by adopting anti-tobacco measures: consuming, selling or promoting tobacco must be prohibited through a well-provided tobacco control policy. By implementing this, you can improve the health of the passive smoking victims who are numerous.
This guide, written in French and delivered by the European Healthy Stadia Network, outlines in how to develop, implement and support a comprehensive tobacco-free policy, by providing tools and advice.
