AMANDLA EduFootball – CSR Report, 2011

AMANDLA engages socially and economically disadvantaged young people through innovative football-based education programmes. The knowledge and skills young people gain through participating in AMANDLA’s holistic programmes play a critical role in improving their future prospects, giving them a better chance of breaking the cycle of poverty.

The aim of all its programmes is to tackle social inequality through the innovative fusion of education and football. Using the power of football AMANDLA creates safehubs of development and learning for disadvantaged young people. The organisation’s holistic football-based programme model stimulates and encourages young people to strive for a better future. The strong moral concept underpinning all AMANDLA programmes reinforces universal values and norms, often lacking in destabilised and non-existent family structures

2011 has held many highlights and new developments. These achievements motivate AMANDLA to critically review the effectiveness of the work on an ongoing basis. To carry this magic force into the future, AMANDLA continues to innovatively improve on the tried-and-tested.
