Eurocamp in Wrocław, Poland – 2012 Brochure

Eurocamp 2012 provided a great opportunity for young people from diverse social backgrounds across Europe to enjoy five days of intercultural workshops, football, learning and positive encounters in Wroclaw, Poland.

The Committee on Education and Culture sees great potential in youth sports events, which serve as a platform for people from diverse cultures to come together and unite behind their passion for sports. In addition to the exchanges between all participants, the hosts had a chance to present their own culture, hospitality and openness to the rest of Europe.

The event brought together organisations from all over Europe working in the field of Development through Football. These organisations use football as a tool to promote social inclusion and gender equality, provide access to education, encourage healthier lifestyles and set up strategic partnerships for development. Eurocamp 2012 was an excellent occasion to bring together young people for an experience which enabled them to develop important life skills and grasp the opportunity to shape their own future. The event was a great experience for all parties involved.

Eurocamp 2012 was the highlight of the RESPECT your Health campaign and demonstrated that football is a viable tool for uniting people from different backgrounds, providing a common base for learning and strengthening social inclusion, youth development and education in communities across Europe.
