The Football Club Social Alliance
The Football Club Social Alliance unites professional European football clubs which team up for social change on a global level. Permanent member clubs include FC Basel 1893, SV Werder Bremen, Bayer 04 Leverkusen, FK Austria Wien, FC Schalke 04 and 1. FSV Mainz 05. The FCSA focuses on the Young Coach Education Program in which the clubs’ instructors empower young women and men in their role as proactive community leaders.
Within the program instructors from the professional football clubs visit post-war or developing countries to teach the young coaches valuable social and football-related education skills.
