+ Sport, Move and Learn Project

sport_and_move_programme_1 (Medium)The + Sport, Move and Learn Project is a school-based educational programme for children aged 9-10 years old. It aims to encourage physical activity, promote nutritional education and build awareness of the importance of a healthy diet and active lifestyle.

Over six weeks, children from primary 5 and 6 spend 45 minutes completing a practical football session and then 45 minutes in the classroom learning about topics related to the body, nutrition, the importance of exercise and information about food groups, in line with the recommendations outlined in the eatwell plate.

Annually 1,800 children in the Glasgow area take part in the programme, encouraging future generations to embrace a healthy lifestyle.

The Rangers Charity Foundation is grateful to Kinder via the SPFL Trust for their funding support for this programme.
