Saints Community Champions – Saints Foundation
In November 2015, Saints Foundation launched the Saints Community Champions programme, which has seen us integrate six project officers in staff teams within secondary schools across Southampton, namely Oasis Academy Mayfield, Oasis Academy Lordshill, Woodlands Community College, Redbridge Community School, Cantell School and St George Catholic College.
Our ‘Community Champions’ perform two main roles within schools – firstly delivering a range of sporting activities during the school day and in community hours, and secondly providing support to young people who are struggling within mainstream education.
