Outdoor training (ODT)
In its purpose, the ‘ODT’ program is similar to our flagship program ‘Through the field’, though deploys outdoor activities as a platform for social change and acquiring life skills.
The ‘ODT’ program is suited for children aged 8-13 and adults with special needs. The program deploys outdoor activities to convey educational, social and moral messages. The program includes outdoor navigation and team building activities through which the beneficiaries learn various skills, norms and values.
In a nutshell:
- Ages 8-11 and 12-13 and individuals with special needs, all over Israel.
Main learning goals include: - Internalize moral, social and educational values, such as understanding the importance of environmentally-friendly behavior.
- Strengthen social and leadership skills in team settings.
- Stimulate cognitive planning (and navigation), independent and creative thinking.
