Levante UD – DI_CAPACIDAD SPEECHES
With this programme the foundation of Levante UD organises motivational speeches at schools done by Paralympic and Valencian multi-medalist athletes, which may be seen as role models. This speeches are being conducted at Valencian schools since 10 years ago. Since then more than 20.000 kids have been in contact with this project.
Each year they visit between 10-15 schools where they give educational talks aimed at children, as part of the Kids’ Club project, in which the aim is to make school children aware of what is really important in sport and everyday life, as well as giving their personal experiences and explaining how they have achieved success in spite of their limitations, presenting tangible examples of this to the children.
This programme aims to teach the participants how to deal with a person with any kind of disability, and furthermore teaches participants how to act as a motivational agent on a short and medium term. This is the way that Levante UD Foundation tries to change the future, a future in which we are all included.
This project also gives the possibility to the schools to go visit the stadium, meet the Levante UD Mascots or even participate in a tournament celebrated every year in summer at Levante UD Stadium and called “Todos Jugamos, Todos Ganamos”.
