Hibernian FC – After Schools Programme

After Schools Programme

Delivering affordable future in the local area of Edinborough.

Surrounding areas to the club’s stadium are areas of deprivation with 1 in 5 children classed as living in poverty. Keeping schoolchildren onsite at the school in an affordable, familiar environment with their friends and peers are key reasons that the Foundation continues to grow their out of school hours coaching offering.

We currently have over 250 Primary 1 to Primary 7 boys and girls taking part in football every week, delivered at 18 primary school sessions.

The emphasis is on developing a love for the game and for many, this is a first introduction to football. Our coaches create a fun and safe environment for all participants focusing on a wide range of activities designed to improve their physical literacy including running, jumping, hopping, skipping, balancing, rolling, bouncing, climbing, throwing, catching and of course, kicking a football.
