Go Ahead Eagles – Bijzondere Eredivsie Team
Go Ahead Eagles reaches tens of thousands of people in the region of their hometown Deventer with its social projects and activities. Think of the Go Ahead Eagles All-Stars, consisting of football fans aged 55 and over. Or the hundreds of primary school pupils who participate every school year in the Score a Book! project, which focuses on promoting reading among children.
These are just a couple of examples of the many regular projects organised annually from or in cooperation with Go Ahead Eagles. But also with meet and greets, match visits, video messages and special giveaways, members of the region who could use a helping hand are reached. In short: Go Ahead Eagles is more than just football.
They also participate with a team in the Bijzondere Eredivisie, promoting football for kids from 10 to 18 years with disabilities. Twelve special footballers from amateur clubs around Deventer like SV Colmschate (Deventer), AZC (Zutphen), FC RDC (Deventer), Witkampers (Laren), Loenermark (Loenen) and Raalte will proudly wear the Go Ahead Eagles shirt in the Special Eredivisie in the 2022/2023 season.
The enthusiastic football lovers from several clubs in the Stedendriehoek train together regularly at DVV Go-Ahead’s sports park and together form one red-yellow team. United by their passion for football, together they are the social face of Go Ahead Eagles in the Special Eredivisie.
