Feyenoord District Training
The ‘Feyenoord District Training’ programme is not about winnning a game or simply taking part in a football training session. The ball certainly rolls for the boys and girls in grades 6, 7 and 8 of primary school, but the target is higher than winning a football game. Communication, collaboration, creative thinking and resolution of problems are the most important aspects of the programme. The programme is composed by 5 training courses, delivered every Wednesday. It is spread throughout the year for 300 students from the higher classes of primary school in the Feyenoord district trainings on nearby fields. Prior to the five courses, participants sign a contract.
Participants are selected in collaboration with neighborhood and sports organizations that are active in the respective districts. The District Trainings are offered for both boys and girls.
