Extra Time – Leyton Orient Trust
Providing older adults the opportunity to access FREE weekly sport based sessions and social activities in the local community to help increase physical activity levels and reduce social isolation.
Leyton Orient Trust have been delivering the Extra Time programme to adults aged 65+ for over six years. The aim of the Extra Time project is simple – to engage the older community in activities to improve their physical, mental and social wellbeing by taking part in regular activities. Each weekly session lasts for an hour and activities are rotated in six week blocks around the year to offer as many opportunities as possible for people to engage in. Sessions are fully inclusive and refreshments are provided. Leyton Orient encourage participants to make time for a chat and a cuppa at the start and end of each activity.

- Tai Chi with Tea
- Carpet Bowls
- Chair Based Exercise
- Movement to Music
- Walking Football
- Computer Club
- Arts and Crafts
- Reminiscence Sessions
- Armchair Olympics
