Burnley FC – Active Clarets
Active Clarets is the lead vehicle for Burnley FC in the Community’s Health and Wellbeing commitment to supporting the reduction of health inequalities in Burnley and the surrounding areas. Active Clarets works closely with Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust, Lancashire County Council and the Premier League in a bid to utilise the power of football and Burnley FC to improve the health and wellbeing of people in Burnley and the surrounding areas.
The Active Clarets project aims to educate individuals on the importance of a healthy lifestyle. This is achieved by providing physical activity sessions and workshops to a wide spectrum of the community – from primary school pupils to over 50s.
