Aston Villa Foundation – Villa in Harmony

Villa in Harmony represents Aston Villa’s commitment to achieving equality and diversity across all areas of our business.

Our aim is to ensure that Villa Park is an inclusive institution that provides a welcoming environment to supporters, local community, customers, employees, contacts, and competitors.
We want to ensure Aston Villa is free from discrimination of any kind and embrace all regardless of age, colour, ethnic and national origin, nationality, religion or belief, gender, gender reassignment, sexual orientation, marital status, or disability.

We embrace the diversity of our great city and our efforts have been hailed by the Premier League as best practice. In the past Kick It Out (football’s equality body) has recognised the club as Community Champions among all 92 professional clubs.

We are one of only two clubs to achieve the highest level of Kick It Out’s Equality Standard.

The chronology of our achievement of the various levels of Kick It Out’s standards is as follows:
Preliminary level racial equality standard May 2006
Intermediate level racial equality standard May 2008
Advanced level equality standard March 2012
Villa in Harmony is an initiative that transcends across all aspects and levels of the club.
Through the Villa in Harmony committee the club has representation from staff within different departments of the organization to ensure that the message of equality is passed on throughout the club.
Through Villa in Harmony we have forged strong relationships with both local, regional and national groups and bodies.
