Zip Line Raises Funds for Everton in the Community

More than £3,000 has been raised for Everton in the Community through supporters and local residents taking on the fastest zip line in the world.

The thrill seeking challenge at Zip World Velocity, located in North Wales, is the longest zip wire in Europe and saw those taking part reach speeds in excess of 100mph as they descended down the Big Zipper and over the quarry lake.

Everton in the Community would like to say a big thank you to everyone that took part and helped to raise vital funds for the Club’s official charity – with supporters as young as 13 and some over 70-years-old taking part and showing their support!

Another date is in the pipeline to take 10 more people on behalf of Everton in the Community in the coming months, with return transport provided from Goodison Park.

Whether you’re an adrenaline junkie or want to put yourself up for a tough but exciting test, this could be the perfect opportunity for you to do just that whilst also raising money to help support the development of the charity.

Supporters’ must be at least 10 years old to take part and there is a registration fee of just £30 with a minimum sponsorship target of £250. As part of the registration fee, you will also receive a t-shirt and fundraising pack ahead of the challenge.

Once a date has been confirmed all those that have registered their interest in taking part will be contacted directly.

If you would like more information or you would like to support the work of Everton in the Community, please contact the Fundraising Team at community@evertonfc.com or call 0151 530 5253.
