Widzew Involves Fans in Physical Activity
The 5th Run with the History of Widzew Łódź is behind us. Almost 800 adults and 350 juvenile runners took part in a great sports event organized by the Club and the Together We Train Sport group.
The event took place on Sunday and, despite showers, attracted crowds to 3 May and Baden-Powell Parks. The forest paths were filled with players in red T-shirts and their families. Everyone headed to the center at Małachowskiego Street, where a stage, an official store stand, a food court and a running town co-created by sponsors and partners of the event were set up.
In addition to the main run, the event consisted of a number of accompanying events. From the morning, more than three hundred children competed on short distances, and VIPs invited to participate appeared at the symbolic one. Among them is a whole galaxy of well-known figures in the community: vice-president Maciej Szymański, sports director Tomasz Wichniarek, coach Daniel Myśliwiec, as well as former RTS players: Rafał Pawlak and Bartosz Kaniecki. In addition, sponsors, friends of the Club and… Widzewski Feniks, who had a lot of work that day posing for photos
“It is an ideal form of pre-workout activation. I think I had a good result, although many runners achieved a better result. There was also a lot of work with giving autographs, but we are really happy with such a number of fans.”
Marek Hanousek, Professional Football Player with Widzew Łódź
