Widzew Lodz fans visited animal shelter
Fans of EFDN member Widzew Łódź once again proved that together they create strength, and thanks to their involvement a lot of food and blankets were delivered to an animal shelter on Marmurowa Street in Łódź.
The collection of gifts was organised before the league match against Zagłębie Sosnowiec. For a week Widzew supporters could bring gifts for animals to the official Widzew Łódź shop, where the gifts were stored. After the end of the round and the necessary review of all gifts, the goods were packed onto the club bus. On Friday, December 10, the representation of the first team of Widzew Łódź, consisting of Daniel Tanżyna and Przemysław Kita, accompanied by Marcin Tarociński and the club media, set off to the shelter, where the gifts from the van filled to the brim were handed over to Marta Olasińska – the director of the facility.
The effects of the collection exceeded expectations, but what is important, the advertising of the shelter’s charges during the meeting with Zagłębie Sosnowiec was also a success. Information on potential dogs for adoption was displayed on the stadium’s wall screens, which was met with great interest from fans of the four-time Polish champion and many dogs found homes. The cooperation with the shelter, which currently cares for around 270 animals, will continue during the spring matches.
