Werder Christmas greeting strengthens SPIELRAUM concept!
Strong support for SPIELRAUM! As in the previous year, the holistic concept of SV Werder Bremen for a networked and social space-oriented promotion of physical activity is supported by the Werder Christmas greeting with 25,000 euros. The donation sum was collected during the campaign, which Werder’s marketing partner Infront has been organising together with the Green-Whites at the last home match of the year for several years.
For the 7th time in a row, companies were able to participate, and for the first time the campaign took place at a Werder women’s match. On 26 November 2022, the women’s home match against SC Freiburg attracted over 20,000 spectators and numerous partners to the Wohninvest WESERSTADION. 130 companies from Werder’s sponsor pool as well as business partners wished the Werder fans “Merry Christmas” via the LED band.
Part of the revenue from this advertising service, amounting to 25,000 euros, will now go towards SV Werder Bremen’s SPIELRAUM concept. The concept aims to inspire as many children and young people as possible with and without impairments and or migration backgrounds for sport and exercise, to support them in their personal development and to motivate and enable them to take on responsibility in sport.
The SPIELRAUM concept takes into account the aspect of gender equality in football. The children and young people are supported, for example, by nine professional players from the Bundesliga women’s team who act as coaches and take responsibility for a healthy and active upbringing at an early age.
