Werder Bremen introduces new service for disabled supporters
After the successful test phase last season, SV Werder Bremen is now offering a new service in the stadium together with “Sports & Food”. For disabled people, there is now the possibility to get food and drinks delivered to the seat in the stadium.
This should make it easier for stadium visitors to feed themselves during the match. Therefore, the club recommends buying vouchers that are necessary to receive the delivery at the seat.
After entering the stadium at gate 3, visitors can buy drinks for cash at the sales counter of “Sports & Food”. At this stand, the vouchers can be exchanged for the products ordered. The visitors just have to indicate to where the order should be delivered immediately before the first half of the match or after the halftime break. In order to receive the products, it is important that the fans are at their seats at that time. Then the cola, beer or bratwurst can be enjoyed directly.
Pioneer in German Football
Werder Bremen is the pioneer of corporate social responsibility in Germany’s national football league. Werder has its own department that organises all the social projects. The jobs of the employees are to process all the everyday inquiries of the club-partners and –members, as well as the organisation and development of new offerings, events and projects. Having a separate social department is special in the German league; most of the clubs organise their CSR in the marketing or public relations department.
