SV Werder Bremen has recently signed the environmental partnership “Umweltbundesgellschaft Unternehmen” (Environmental Partnership for the Environment). Now, the Bremen Senator for Environment, Construction and Transport, Dr. Lohse honoured the partnership by handing over a certificate for environmental efforts to the SV Werder Bremen and its CSR Departement WERDER- BEWEGT.
With handing over the certificate, the senator appreciates the special ecological commitment of the Green Whites, which goes far beyond the legal regulations.
Both President and CEO Dr. Hess – Grunewald, as well as Head of Department Juraschek, are pleased with receiving the certificate and the newly established partnership: “This is a special appreciation for us and our work. The goal of the partnership is enabling us to push forward our environmental goals. Werder also stands for long-term environmental awareness.“
Moreover, both parties used the meeting to discuss ecological issues. In the next two years, the SV Werder Bremen, with its CSR brand “WERDER – BEWEGT – Lebenslang”, will focus on environmental issues: “This is not just about saving CO2 emissions or implementing internal measures, it is about much more: we want to deal with this important topic with all our partners and stakeholders” added Head of CSR Department Tim Juraschek.
