Vitesse Fit Delivers Fantastic Results
An edition of the Vitesse FIT health programme was completed last month with excellent results. After the training on 6 August, provided by Vitesse Involved Ambassador Edward Sturing, the final measurements were scheduled on 13 August. In the end, we were able to measure twelve participants from start to finish, all of whom made very good progress.
We are proud to announce the following results:
- The participants lost a total of 102 kg;
- The participants lost a total of 91 cm in belly size;
- All participants managed to lower both blood pressure and resting heart rate;
- DEXA-scan showed that participants have significantly lower fat percentages.
Wonderful results, but above all the awareness came to the fore in the final interviews. The changes the group have gone through will continue to play a role in the rest of their lives.
Participant Dennis Schrijver indicated that he notices some personal health gains: “Especially the condition is important to me, I get a lot more air. This, in combination with the kilos I have lost, makes everything a lot easier.”
He also spoke of progress in his personal life. “I feel that I am being taken more seriously, both at work and in my private life. The opportunities that are now coming my way certainly have to do with my new lifestyle.”
Dennis will have a supporting role at Vitesse under 21 next season, as a materials man and a flagship. “Vitesse FIT was mainly the stick behind the door I needed. Of course my dedication and perseverance helped to achieve these results, but the coaching and sports at Vitesse stimulates enormously.”
