Sign up to train at Ibrox
The Rangers Charity Foundation is offering fans the exclusive chance to train at Ibrox and all you have to do is sign up to take part in the Great Scottish Run.
The not to be missed opportunity will see participants, who pledge to raise money for the Foundation, get to sprint down the tunnel in the footsteps of their heroes before being put through their paces trackside by a Rangers Community Coach.
Aimed at both the experienced and inexperienced runner the hour-long session will take place on Saturday 22 July at 10am – 10 weeks ahead of the race weekend on October 1.
Combining running, stretches and nutritional advice the session promises to leave participants better prepared whither they have signed up for the 10K or a half-marathon event.
As well as access to the training event runners who sign up to raise money for the Foundation will become part of the Rangers running team and be given a free Rangers Charity Foundation running vest.
There is no minimum sponsorship pledge, we just ask that you raise as much as you can and all money raised will be used to help us continue to be a force for good on behalf of the Rangers Family!
Every single person who raises £100+ will also be invited to a reception at Ibrox to receive a True Blue Hero medal from a first team player later in the season.
The Great Scottish Run
The Great Scottish Run itself promises to be an enjoyable event. Both distances take in many key city landmarks, such as The Hydro, The Finnieston Crane and Pacific Quay. All runners will be entertained on the day with choirs, bagpipers and drumming bands.
To sign up for the Great Scottish Run, and to be eligible for our training session on 22 July, simply register at www.greatscottishrun.com. Once you have your place, let us know by emailing rangerscharity@rangers.co.uk before Tuesday 18 July and we will send you out a race pack and running top.
Please note, you must be 15 or over on the day of the event in order to run. There will be no shower or changing facilities available at the Ibrox training event. Runners are advised to arrive prepared to start in their usual running attire.
