The Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) has joined EFDN

EFDN is proud to announce that the first national football federation has joined the network. We welcome the Portuguese Federation (FPF) as a new member. Since 2019, EFDN supports not only clubs but also leagues and FAs in promoting and improving their community and social activities.

The fundamental mission of FPF is to increase the number of football players, to get more boys and girls to play football and to create a positive environment for sport. The FPF has a CSR department. Their CSR strategy focus on 3 pillars: social inclusion and diversity, health promotion and environment. It cooperates closely with its international and national partners, both public and private, in a spirit of independence and mutual benefit, for the sake of the success of its mission. In the last years, the FPF have organised several educational activities, awareness campaigns and workshops for football clubs regarding different issues. The latest awareness campaign, #Deixajogar, promoted respect and Fairplay not only on the pitch but also on the stands.

TACKLING COLOUR BLINDNESS IN SPORT (TACBIS)

The Portuguese Federation is one of our programme partners for the EFDN project  “Tackling Colour Blindness In Sport (TACBIS)”. Together, we are working to identify barriers to progression for colour blind players and coping mechanisms employed by colour blind players and to raise awareness for colour blindness in sport and society and promote surroundings that are colour blind friendly.

14th EFDN “Morethanfootball” Conference

We are looking forward to meeting the representatives from the FPF at the 14th EFDN #Morethanfootball Conference in Breda, The Netherlands on the 24th and 25th March. We offer a specifically tailored programme for Leagues and FAs including presentations from FIFA, Dutch FA and The Commonwealth. To join us, register here.
