The network commemorates International Day of Sport For Development and Peace

April 6 represents the day for us all to commemorate the power of sport as a tool for social change and celebrate the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace (IDSDP) 2020.

This year the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace encourages people to be active whilst staying at home, as well as promoting solidarity, community, and team spirit, in order to raise awareness about COVID-19.

See how our members and partners have been celebrating IDSDP below:

Apollon FC

Apollon FC recognises that it is difficult for all children to have the necessary equipment at home to carry out football activities, however, with a bit of imagination, alternatives can be used! Take a look at the video below for some inspiration.

Apollon also shared some examples of how player Florentin Matei, stays at home and trains individually at full speed to stay fit.
