The National Board of Social Services praises Randers FC’s CSR work

Director of the Danish National Board of Social Services, Ellen Klarskov Lauritzen, praised Randers FC’s CSR work and looks forward to continued cooperation in developing good and sustainable solutions in the social field. Randers FC has had a distinguished visit from the Director of the Danish institution who has been to Cepheus Park Randers last week to hear more about Randers FC’s CSR efforts and cooperation with Randers Municipality to make a difference locally for vulnerable citizens.

Ellen Klarskov Laurtizen visited Randers FC as part of a study tour on the social sector in Randers Municipality. The meeting at Randers FC was also attended by Helene Bækmark, Director of Social and Labour Market in Randers Municipality, Runa Steenfeldt, Head of Social Affairs in Randers Municipality, Henrik Jørgensen, Adm. Direkør i Randers FC, and Per Rasmussen, senior consultant in Randers FC Jobakademi.

During the meeting, the latter two introduced Ellen Klarskov Lauritzen to Randers FC’s wide range of CSR projects, which delighted the Director of the social institution and subsequently prompted her to post the following on LinkedIn about the visit:

“Thanks to Henrik Jørgensen and Randers FC for providing an exciting insight into how Randers FC works with Randers Municipality to make a difference locally for vulnerable citizens by bringing the unique skills of sport and associations into that work.”

“You opted out of toast speeches and focused on showing the real dilemmas in your everyday work. It was instructive. And it was clear that there are many challenges and no quick fixes. But also that your pragmatic knowledge-based approach and your dedicated staff with a pronounced desire to address citizens’ concerns are actually making a difference for many citizens and creating hope that the long haul can succeed. I look forward to continuing to work with you to develop good and sustainable solutions in the social field.”

Since 2016, Randers FC has worked purposefully with CSR and tried to make a difference for socially vulnerable citizens with a focus on employment, social inclusion, health, sustainability and community. Therefore, the club is also extremely pleased and proud of the National Board of Social Services (Socialstyrelsen) recognition.

“Many thanks to Ellen Klarskov Lauritzen for visiting us and listening to our CSR work here in Randers Municipality. We would also like to thank Helene Bækmark for setting up the meeting and giving us the opportunity to talk to the Director of the National Board of Health and Welfare about this important work. […] Because in our approach to employment there is always something social behind. And our cooperation between the public and private sectors clearly shows that it is possible to cooperate, develop and find solutions with good results for the benefit of the local community. The state, the regions, the municipalities and we in civil society each have our own skills and opportunities. And that’s what we need to work together.”

Henrik Jørgensen, Adm. Director of Randers FC
