The “Al Alza” inclusive football school of Getafe FC returns to training sessions
The Getafe CF Foundation’s inclusive football school ”Al Alza” has resumed training at the Ciudad Deportiva. Last Saturday, a group of boys and girls enjoyed football again.
This group resumed training after almost six months of inactivity due to the uncertainties brought by the COVID-19 pandemic. It was last May, the last time for the boys who were already looking forward to returning to training with their teammates.
The training sessions were based on basic football contact, with continuous running, mobility exercises, dribbling, rondos and a small match to finish the session. Hopefully they had a great time, as did the coaches and some of their families, who didn’t want to miss the opening of the year for the school.
The objectives of the Al Alza school are:
- To encourage and increase the participation of people with disabilities in sports activities using an educational and inclusive approach.
- To raise awareness about the situation of people with disabilities in sports.
- To improve the physical, psychological and social abilities of participants as a consequence of being part of a team.
- To promote healthy lifestyle habits.
- To promote inclusiveness and acceptance in society.
Soon, and more frequently, the football school will return to its normal rhythm, which the foudation hopes will never have to stop.
