Teamplay@NAC and GetBright start social media workshop in the framwork of NAC Street League
In cooperation, Teamplay@NAC and digital marketing agency GetBright have started a new social media initiative for schools that are participating in the NAC Street League.
Last week, the initiative, which consists of workshops focused on the responsible usage of social media, started with pupils attending the Tesserlandt school in Breda.
In the workshop, questions as how to use social media in a positive way and what and what not to say on social media were addressed. Next to that, the workshop focused on the topic of cyber-bullying. The lesson provided the pupils with the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge on the usage of social media.

Sportsmanship on Social Media
The workshop on social media is a cooperation between NAC Breda and the digital marketing agency GetBright. GetBright is a company, which sees social and community engagement as very important.
Jessica from GetBright explains “We find it important to be socially involved through informing young people about how to use social media in a responsible manner, thereby making them aware of the dangers which social media can entail. Social media are great, however, it is important to know how to use them in the right way. The workshops are especially directed towards young people, asking questions as; what social media channels do you know, how do you use them and how do you protect your privacy. At the end of the workshops, the participating pupils are creating posters on which they write down social statements. These social statements are joint agreements regarding the usage of social media. The poster is then hang up in the classroom and shared on social media in order to remind them throughout the school year of the agreements which were made during the workshop.”
More than Football at NAC Breda
The workshops on social media are integrated in the NAC Street League programme. The NAC Street League is a community programme which consists of football competitions that are carried out throughout the city of Breda. Next to the competitions and social media workshops, the NAC Street League also provides workshops on topics as healthy eating, using money wisely and group pressure in relation to the consumption of alcohol.
The aim of the workshops is to create awareness for current social issues affecting youth.
