SV Werder provides easy access seats
In addition to the seats for wheelchair users in the WESERSTADION, there have also been so-called Easy Access Seats on the north stand since this season. By introducing barrier-free seats, SV Werder wants to increase the opportunities for participation and further break down the barriers to visiting the stadium.
As part of the matchday for inclusion 2023 against VfL Bochum, the SVW draws attention to the new offer. The seat offer is aimed at people who, due to a disability or limited mobility, do not need a wheelchair but need barrier-free access. These include, for example, people who cannot bend their knees or who use walking aids.
The total of 25 seats in the first row on the north stand can be reached via a ramp from the edge of the field without having to climb stairs. Admission is parallel to the wheelchair users: inside via gate 3. There are also other barrier-free facilities in the immediate vicinity, such as the disabled toilets. In addition, users of the Easy Access Seats can also make use of the catering service that has already been set up for wheelchair users. With the help of Werder’s partner Levy Restaurants, drinks and food can be ordered at the seat.
