SV Werder invites children from Kids-Club to stand against racism

An anti-racism workshop was organized for the kids from the green-white Kids-Club.

As part of the “International Weeks against Racism”, SV Werder invited children from the green-white Kids-Club to a two-hour anti-racism workshop. Also present was Bundesliga player Amos Pieper, who engaged in a valuable exchange with the children.

The anti-racism workshop took place on 30th of March at the Weserstadion. Under the message “KLARE KANTE GEGEN RASSISMUS” (Clear edge against racism), the children dealt with the topic of racism under the guidance of Werder’s anti-discrimination officer Jermaine Greene and Jenny Eickhoff. Eickhoff regularly offers anti-racism workshops at schools as part of “Show racism the red card”.

SV Werder is not only setting an example against discrimination and for diversity within the “International Weeks against Racism”, but would also like to draw attention to this topic. Would you like to take a closer look at the topic of racism in football and the commitment of SV Werder? Then listen to the special episode of the Werder Podcast with Jermaine Greene!
