#STIPIT! Club Brugge supports the week against bullying
The week of 18 to 25 February 2022 is dedicated to the Week against Bullying, the action week of the ‘Flemish Network Choose Colour against Bullying’ that wants to mobilise as many children and young people as possible and give them a voice against bullying. Club Brugge also supports this action.
1 in 6 childrens in Flanders are victims of bullying. Many of them bear the consequences for a long time. The Flemish Network ‘Kies Kleur Tegen Pesten’ wants to do something about it together with children, young people and their supervisors. Club Brugge also wants to help spread this message.
Football is a sport for everyone, where a positive atmosphere is important, where everyone should have the chance to be themselves, where goals need to be achieved together, where there is solidarity on and off the field and where everyone should feel at home. This positive atmosphere must be continued, because without a good atmosphere, there can be no results. That is why Club Brugge supports the action against bullying in order to create a positive, safe and ethical sporting environment in which children and young people can fully develop and feel at home.
With the entire blue-black family, the club wants to be an open club where everyone can be part of, because they are ‘One Club, One Family’. That is why they participate in #STIPIT. The 4 dots on the hand stand for:
- I don’t like bullying and will never participate in it.
- I will talk about it if bullying makes me sad or afraid.
- I do not exclude anyone, everyone belongs to me!
- I will always try to stand up for someone who is being bullied.
