SPFL and Pro League become first official EFDN League members

EFDN is proud to announce its first partnerships with two national Football Leagues, as the Scottish SPFL and the Belgian ProLeague join the Network.

Working along with Scotland’s 42 professional clubs and external agencies, SPFL uses football’s unique presence to assist Scotland’s people to achieve their goals and improve their life chances, thanks to the dedicated work initiated in favour of the communities.

Similarly, Pro League supports the professional clubs in Belgium in developing their CSR programmes. Aiming to strengthen and sustain the local Community and Social Responsibility of the clubs, ProLeague also helps to ensure a social effect and offers to local and potentially international opportunities to specific target groups.

Hubert Rovers, CEO of EFDN said; “From the start, we have been a club driven a network of community-engaged football clubs, but with the growth of the network, the demand and expectation of our members and partners are different than when the organisation started in 2014. We also received a number of requests from interested national Leagues and Football organisations if it would be possible to join EFDN as well. The challenges but also the opportunities for CSR in European Football are great and we really believe that together we can achieve more. Therefore I am happy to officially welcome the first two Leagues in the network and we are confident that more European Leagues and National Football Associations will join our movement in the near future”.

More information on the community activities can be found on the EFDN member page of the SPFL and Pro League.
