SIDFOOT project continues with virtual coordination meeting

On the 16th of July, EFDN participated in a virtual coordination meeting of the SIDFOOT project. Co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, SIDFOOT focuses on creating a positive influence on the lives of children and young people living in disconnected neighbourhoods and involves activities that will steer young people towards education and adaption to healthier lifestyles.

The second meeting included a presentation on the best practices of sports projects that promote social inclusion which have been collected by all partners in the last months. Project partner Fare is in charge of creating a microsite of best practices. Attendees also commented on the first draft of a competency profile of a “Community Football Driver” provided by project partner Universitat de les Illes Balears. Community drivers play a key role in the SIDFOOT methodology. The community drivers act as role models and motivate children and youth, from disadvantaged neighbourhoods, to move, play and adapt to a healthier lifestyle.

EFDN presented the Communication & Dissemination Plan and shared ideas on how the reporting can be facilitated. Furthermore, partners discussed administrative issues and agreed on the next steps of SIDFOOT. For more information about the SIDFOOT project, please visit the programme page here.
