Show Racism the Red Card project partners meet online

On the 28th January 2022, the ‘Show Racism the Red Card’ project partners met online. The project managers involved shared their updates on the programme delivery.

First, the project managers from Brentford FC Community Sports Trust, Chelsea FC Foundation, Club Brugge Foundation, Inter Campus, Rangers Charity Foundation, Fundacao Benfica, SV Werder Bremen updated the other participants on where they are at in the delivery phases. They shared how many pupils their programmes were reaching, what events they have planned or already organised and what their strategies and best practices regarding the grassroots campaign are.

The project managers from several European countries had to adhere and be mindful of different measures to contain the further spreading of COVID-19. Despite the challenges, several clubs already completed all three delivery phases. The clubs are doing a great job with the delivery considering the situation as Club Brugge reached out to 366 grassroots clubs and showed SRtRC-themed LED boarding on 15th January, Rangers Charity Foundation involved almost 3000 pupils in the programme, Werder Bremen is planning a match day against racism in March, and Benfica is getting the SRtRC posters ready for a big campaign.

Then, the participants talked about the upcoming SRtRC Festival, the project payments, monitoring and evaluation, the final reporting and the transnational project meetings as well as the 5th project meeting. That meeting will finalise the programme and prepare all project partners for the final report as well as giving everyone the chance to discuss the main outcomes and impact of the programme.
