Sheffield United Community Foundation wants to fight isolation
Sheffield United Community Foundation has launched a fundraising campaign to support the creation of a weekly session with elderly people.
Loneliness and isolations are notions that we all had to come to terms with during the COVID-19 pandemic. While many of us had to find a way to adapt to these extraordinaire circumstances, for the elderly this was their everyday life from long before the pandemic.
To be able to show support to those who live alone or in nursing houses, Sheffield United Community Foundation has come up with the Ending Forever Isolation fundraising. Through the money collected, the Foundation wants to create a weekly support group that the elderly generation in Sheffield can attend.
Help us reach our £5,000 target to create a weekly session for elderly people in Sheffield to come together and have a cup of tea and a chat that many of us take for granted.
