Shakhtar’s Come On, Let’s Play! project won UN award

The Come On, Let’s Play! project of Shakhtar Social Foundation is an international award winner On the initiative of the UN Global Compact Network Ukraine, there was a competition of partnership projects called Partnership for Sustainability Award 2019.

This year, more than 80 cases from across four countries have been presented in four categories. The Come On, Let’s Play! project of Shakhtar Social Foundation was shortlisted and, following the results of the competition, received an award in the category “Society”.

“The Come On, Let’s Play! grounds operate in 34 cities and towns in our country, with over 4,500 children playing football. This large-scale project cannot be implemented by anyone alone, it can be fulfilled only as part of a partnership,” said Inna Khmyzova, Director of the Shakhtar Social Foundation.

The Come On, Let’s Play! project was already recognised as Europe’s best CSR initiative at the annual More than Football Award 2019 in Barcelona.

The project for the development of grassroots football in Ukraine is implemented by Shakhtar Social jointly with DTEK and the support of the UEFA Foundation for Children and the United Nations Population Fund in Ukraine.
