Shakhtar Women’s Team Players Held a Master Class and Awarded The Children
The village of Katyuzhanka (Vyshgorod district, Kyiv region) hosted a football tournament to mark the Independence Day of Ukraine. The competition was attended by 30 children aged 7 to 13. The event was held as part of the Football for Future project implemented by Shakhtar Social Foundation with the support of the UEFA Foundation for Children.
The tournament was visited by Shakhtar women’s team players – goalkeeper Inga Mostova and defender Tatyana Vishnevskaya. The girls played football with the children, showed them some professional exercises, and most of all, the kids liked to test the strength of the Orange and Black goalkeeper, hitting Mostova with a series of shots. After the tournament, Shakhtar players awarded all participants with certificates, talked to the children and parents, took memorable photos and held an autograph session.
The Football for Future project is being implemented in 8 Ukrainian cities: Yuzhne and Kodyma (Odesa Oblast), Brovary and the villages of Shpytky and Katyuzhanka (Kyiv Oblast), Svitlovodsk (Kirovohrad Oblast), Lviv and Zhytomyr. The project provides football training for 640 children.
