Shakhtar Social focuses on children from Mariupol and Lviv
Shakhtar Social and the project partner DTEK organize training for children from different Ukrainian cities.
Friendly match between the teams of the Come On, Let’s Play! Project from Lviv and Mariupol was played in Lviv on July 30. Prior to full-scale war, about 1,000 boys and girls played football within the Come On, Let’s Play! Project in Mariupol. After Russian attack children with their families were forced to leave the city and now the Mariupol team gathered together first time over a long period.
Children arrived from different cities and countries. They spent some time in Lviv and played the match against the local participants of the Come On, Let’s Play! Project. Everyone received the memorable gifts, when the meet was over. Come on, Let’s Play! Project is implemented by the Shakhtar Social foundation with support of its general partner DTEK. Currently, nearly 1,000 children train in 13 settlements in Ukraine.
From February 24 to July 1, SCM businesses, the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation and FC Shakhtar have granted more than UAH 2.7 billion or about USD 90 million to help Ukraine and Ukrainians, with the amount increasing daily. Humanitarian aid has already reached over 3 million people.
