Shakhtar Donetsk offer kits to disabled children

On the 14th of April, a training session of the little footballers organised by FC Shakhtar Donetsk turned into a real festival.

Junior Moraes, striker of Shakhtar, prepared a surprise for them: the Shakhtar home kits and special football equipment.

Project participant Pavlo Soroka shared his impression: “These kits are very cool. I love Shakhtar, my whole family roots for the Miners! In the new outfit, I will train even better.”

Last November, Shakhtar Social, the foundation of FC Shakhtar Donetsk, opened the first ground in Kyiv where children with mental disorders, locomotor system disorders, impaired vision, and developmental disorders can play football. In the capital, the project partner is the Modern Education Academy A+, on the basis of which the training is conducted.

‘During the six months that we’ve been working with the guys, everyone, without exception, is showing real progress.’ says a coach Maksym Krupenin. ‘We’ve already mastered the roles on the field, we work with the ball, performing all the exercises playfully. We look forward to warmer weather to train outdoors.’
