Shakhtar midfielder Mykhailo Mudryk made a young fan’s dream come true
10-year-old Illarion Gatman, a participant in the Come On, Let’s Play! project from the town of Shchastia (Luhansk region) visited Shakhtar’s training complex in Sviatoshyno. The kid loves football very much, he dreamed of meeting with the Shakhtar player Mykhailo Mudryk and attending a match of his favourite team.
Mykhailo Mudryk trained with the boy a little bit, answered his questions and presented him with the ball bearing the autographs of Shakhtar players. The following day, Illarion’s other dream came true – he attended the Miners’ match vs Metalist 1925 at the NSC Olimpiyskiy.
“It’s always very pleasant when they support you and the team, and even more so when it comes to kids. This is really cool, we should appreciate it, and that’s why we play,” said Mykhailo Mudryk. “Illarion asked me questions about training sessions, what should be done after them, who are my friends and so on. I gave him a cool ball signed by all Shakhtar players and, hopefully, a good mood.”
The Come On, Let’s Play! project is being implemented by Shakhtar Social with the support of the general partner DTEK and has been awarded with EFDN’s More than Football Award in 2019.
