Scort Foundation visits Bayer 04 Leverkusen to celebrate a successful partnership
Since the start of the season, the Bayer 04 Leverkusen Werkself has been wearing the logo of the Football Club Social Alliance (FCSA) on its shirt sleeve in the UEFA Europa League. Last week, a delegation from the social aid network visited the BayArena to thank the Werksklub officials in person.
For many years, Bayer 04 has been involved in crisis and former conflict regions through the FCSA. The network brings together professional football clubs to enable them to make a sustainable commitment to development aid. Among other things, the works club launched 13 international projects with several modules. For example, various Bayer 04 coaches have been working with youth coaches in Uganda, Colombia, Vietnam or Tanzania since 2009, so that the 726 coaches who have now been trained can subsequently pass on the knowledge they have gained to the children and young people on site.
The announced visit of a small delegation of the FCSA took place during the Europa League home match of the Werkself against Celtic Glasgow last Thursday (3:2). Marc Buchwalder, CEO Scort Foundation/Football Alliance, as well as Football Alliance Project Manager Lea Hinnen thanked the Bayer 04 officials on site for the gesture of providing the sleeve in international matches.
