Scoring for Health programme at Brentford comes to an end
Delivered in partnership with the European Football for Development Network and six European Football Clubs, our final delivery phase is underway.
In 2019 Brentford FC Community Sports Trust joined forces with the European Football Development Network (EFDN), UEFA Foundation and six other European football foundations to start delivering the Scoring for Health programme in schools. The Scoring for Health programme encourages children from the ages of 7 to 13, and their parents, to adopt a healthy lifestyle and make them aware of the value of eating healthily and being active. One of the drivers behind the programme is the recent work by the World Health Organisation, which finds that obesity in children remains an important public health problem in Europe. Brentford delivered two delivery phases in three schools reaching more than 300 participants.
