Saints4Sport allocated funding from Police and Crime Commissioner
Saints Foundation is delighted to have been the recipients of funding from Hampshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner, Michael Lane.
As part of the Commissioner’s Safer Communities Fund, Saints Foundation received £25,000 of funding to go towards the delivery of our Saints4Sport programme.
The purpose of the Safer Communities Fund is to support community organisations that are working to help keep Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Portsmouth, and Southampton safer.
“Supporting victims, protecting the vulnerable, and reducing offending are an absolute priority and sit appropriately alongside enabling effective operational policing,” Police and Crime Commissioner, Michael Lane, commented. “I will continue to do everything possible to support the projects that protect those who are most vulnerable within our community.”
The £25,000 grant will allow us to continue supporting adults at risk who have faced some of life’s biggest challenges, including homelessness, mental health issues and drug and alcohol misuse.
“Our Saints4Sport programme does an incredible amount of work for adults at risk in our local community,” Saints Foundation Manager, Sam Fulling, said. “We are incredibly grateful to the Police and Crime Commissioner for supporting our application, and this generous grant will allow us to continue to support a number of local people by putting routine and structure back into their lives through the project.”
