Saints Foundations’ New Purpose & Strategy

Yesterday saw our members, the Saints Foundation launch a revised and refocused strategy for their community work.

While proud of the great work of the Foundation and its staff in and around Southampton over the last 10 years, working with people from the ages of 2 to 102, and has also gained external recognition with awards such as the gold award for ‘Sports Innovation’ at the Sports Business Awards in 2018 for their partnership with the Big Issue, they are constantly looking to improve the positive impact they make in their local area.

In doing this they have identified three aims as the cornerstone of their objectives and for which they will be used to measure their success.  These three identified main aims are:

3 aims of new Saints Foundation Strategy

With the revised strategy, the main focus of the Foundation remains the same, which is to help people in the local community, whether this is by helping older adults remain independent through their Generation Gains project, giving footballers with disabilities the opportunity to test themselves in competitive football, or supporting young adults through education and into employment.

The Foundation is the Southampton FC’s way of giving back and helping the people that support the club, both on and off the pitch.
