Saints Foundation Launch Strategic Plan in Response to COVID-19

The COVID-19 pandemic has and continues to affect sport and other related activities. Organisations that use football as a tool for social development have also had to scale back some initiatives since early 2020. As the world begins to open up and we learn more about how to thrive in a post-Coronavirus world, sport and its organisations are also finding a way back. It is this bounce back that Southampton FC’s charity arm, Saints Foundation, is also realigning its priorities to this recent emerging reality. Back in early 2019, the foundation launched a new purpose and strategy, which set out how it would continue its mission of transforming lives in and around Southampton over the coming years, with a focus on those that need them most. 

Since then, through their projects, the dedicated team has supported thousands of individuals, across every generation, helping them to become more involved, healthier and empowered members of the community. The foundation remains fully committed to delivering the positive change as set out in that strategy, both now and long into the future.
 
However, the ongoing effects of the Covid-19 pandemic mean that Saints Foundation need to evolve their approach and priorities across the next few months, in order to ensure that they utilise their skills and resources most effectively. Working closely with partners and community, the foundation has developed a new one-year strategy, which will allow it to support their participants to safely and confidently re-engage with the world around them, whilst continuing on their journey to fulfilling their potential.
