Real Betis partners with Lime to support UEFA EURO employees in Seville

Real Betis Balompié’s sustainability platform Forever Green aims to raise awareness on environmental issues, green initiatives and promoting sustainability. It was featured as one of eight Best Practices for EFDN’s World Environment Day 2021.

During the course of the few UEFA EURO 2020 games held at Estadio de La Cartuja in Seville, Real Betis partnered with smart micromobility company Lime in order to provide scooters for tournament employees.

This initiative was promoted as part of Lime’s launch in the southern Andalusia city. Lime’s dockless electric scooter/bike/car sharing uses technology to promote and facilitate the use of sustainable transportation.

As one can imagine, with the development of the project, several tonnes of CO2 emissions will be reduced due to less vehicular presence.

Forever Green collaborated with the tournament organisers to increase visibility and further imprint the club’s commitment towards a healthier environment and greener future.
