REAL BETIS FOUNDATION DEVELOPS COMMUNITY CHAMPIONS LEAGUE IN SEVILLE

This initiative, funded by the UEFA Foundation, promotes social inclusion and the fight against racism, violence and intolerance in grassroots sport.

Real Betis, through their Foundation, continues to promote the social work that it has been carrying out for years in Polígono Sur, one of the neighbourhoods with the greatest economic difficulties in Europe, and it does so precisely through a European project financed by the UEFA Foundation.

This is the Community Champions League, a project managed by us in partnership with eight socially committed football clubs from the Netherlands, England, Spain, Greece, Portugal, Hungary and Ukraine. NAC Breda, Fundación Real Betis Balompié, FC Twente, Shakthar Social, Panathinaikos, Ferencvarosi TC and SL Benfica are implementing the pan-European programme in partnership with us.

This initiative gives a further boost to the sports project that the Foundation has been developing for years in Polígono Sur, together with the former player José Manuel Monsalvete. It promotes through football, the social integration and education of children from the Tres Mil Viviendas who are in a situation of vulnerability.

The Community Champions League also promotes social integration through sports. The project provides the opportunity for people from different cultures to come together to build relationships and friendships while breaking down barriers by preventing violence, racism and intolerance in grassroots sport.
