Real Betis Balompié promotes collection of hair to make wigs for women with cancer
More than a hundred people joined the ‘Donate your hair’ initiative promoted by the Real Betis Balompié Foundation and Pulseras Rosas.
Succes for the ‘Donate your hair’ initiative promoted by the Real Betis Balompié Foundation and Pulseras Rosas, which took place before the Real Betis – Villarreal match. A total of 103 ponytails were collected and used to make wigs. An action that once again demonstrated the solidarity of the Real Betis Balompié fans.
During the pre-match, around the monument of the fans, a set was set up with five volunteer hairdressers from Pulseras Rosas, who were in charge of cutting the hair of more than thirty fans with hair longer than 35 cm, who did not hesitate to join this initiative, taking away two tickets for the Betis – Villareal match as a gift. In addition, many fans passed through this point with their hair already cut, reaching a total of 103 ponytails suitable for the project’s objective.
The president of the Real Betis Foundation, Rafael Gordillo, and Alba Fernández, the Fichaje Estrella, were present during this emotional moment that will remain in the history of the club. There was also a haircut on the Benito Villamarín pitch which was broadcasted live on Betis TV.
